Using examples and nonexamples is an important part of learning vocabulary. Lesson 2: Words and Definitions Learning Vocabulary Obviously just memorizing words and definitions is pretty useless after a matching test, but it can be a very helpful first step in learning vocabulary. It’s about technique, not a fancy app or pretty flashcards. Poorly written definitions or incorrect material will not help you. Failure to study is the most common problem. Putting in a little time each day will greatly help. For this course I expect you to study the words and definitions for about 5-10 minutes a day but I’ll provide you with lots of options of HOW to do that. Think about how you currently study…
